MYER, son of Mr. Myer of Union township, this county. Mr. Myer was highly respected and his death regretted by all who knew him. Last spring his team was drowned in the Walnut river, Sumner county, and both he and his wife narrowly escaped the same fate. We learn from the Winfield Telegram that trouble and misfortune had been the lot of the young couple, and at last Mr. Myer came home from traveling sick and to die, which he did after an illness of ten days, leaving a young wife to mourn her loss.
