Mrs. Cora Griffith MERRY died at Nortonville, Kas., Feb. 3, 1894. She was born in DeKalb, Ill., March 8th, 1864, and was married to C.B. MERRY in 1889. Paul and Ruth aged 4 and 2 years respectively, remain with Bro. MERRY. Sister MERRY gave her heart to God at the age of 9 years and united with the Baptist chruch of which she continued a member till her marriage when she joined the Methodist Episcopal church of which she continue a faithful member till her promotion to the assembly of the glorified. Sister MERRY was endeared to many in our church and in sister churches. Her absence from the church services and the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society is deeply felt. The funeral sermon was delivered on Monday by her pastor, to a large congregation of sympathizing friends. Jno. 9:4 was the text. Rev. S.P.
