Grace Mildred NICHOLS, born October 6, 1893, died February 27, 1901. Aged 7 years, 4 months, 21 days. "Why should we weep for those who die, Those Blessed ones who weep no more? Jesus hath called them to the sky, And gladly have they gone before." Mr. and Mrs. Samuel NICHOLS are called in the Providences of God to mourn the death of their oldest daughter Grace. The little life has gone out. It brightened the home, brought sunshine in their hearts, stayed just long enough to entwine itself into the heart's deepest affections. The funeral obsequies were held last Friday. A large concourse of sympathizing kindred and kind neighbors assembled to pay the last tribute of love. Rev. John D. Hitchcock delivered an appropriate address from the text, "God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." The words of exhortation were full of comfort to the bereaved and counsel to the living to prepare to meet their God. "The young man live, but the old must die. Except ye become as a little child ye cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven." Asleep in Jesus. O, for me, May such a blissful refuge be; Serenely shall my ashes lie, And wait the summns from on high. =================================================== Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archive Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the KSGenWeb USGenWeb Archive Project USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
