Obituary.
Mrs. Lydia Elizabeth OTTINGER was born in Buchanan county, Mo., in 1859 and
passed away at 7 o'clock on the 24th day of February 1909 at her home in the
Wellman neighborhood. She was married to Peter OTTINGER of Lawrence, Kansas,
Dec. 9, 1883. She was the mother of nine children, six of whom are living. 
She joined the Wesleyan M.E. church about five years ago. She hadn't spoken for
about two hours, when she aroused just before she died and said," I will soon be
in Heaven." Funeral services were held on Friday, at the Wellman church,
conducted by Rev. E. E. McAFERTY.
