Kenneth Ploughe PACKER, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. PACKER, was hit by a C.M. and St. P. train and instantly kille at Liberty, Mo., last Friday evening about 7 o'clock. Kenneth was returning home from an errand and because of the sun shining in his face did not see the approaching train until it was too late. Kenneth's mother is the daughter of Mrs. Maggie PLOUGHE and the sister of Mrs. Walter BROWN of Perry and Harry PLOUGHE of Ozawkie. When news of the accident was received here, all of the folks named went immediately to Liberty, where a funeral service was held in the Presbyterian Church there Sunday afternoon. The body was brought to Perry Monday morning and a second funeral held at Grandma PLOUGHE's, conducted by the Rev. Milton THORNE of the Methodist Church. Interment was at Oak Ridge. Kenneth Ploughe PACKER was born November 20, 1910, at Lindsborg, Kansas. he was in his twelfth year at the time of his death. He was in the sixth grade at school and a regular attendant at Sunday School. Besides his parents, three brothers remain to mourn his loss, Leslie, Donald and Earl.
