The Valley Falls Vindicator

Jefferson County

Ione Annice RAWN, the oldest child, of Wm. and the late Ruby Rawn, was born near
Valley Falls, Oct. 14, 1904, and departed this life Nov. 18, 1940, at Bremerton,
Wash. When a young girl, with her parents, she moved to Topeka. After a short
time her mother died, leaving here to make a home for her father and brother and
sister. Later she was married to Wm. DAVISON, who with the father, brother,
Arnold, and sister, Mrs. John REES, also many other relatives, are left to mourn
a dear one. She and her husband had only moved to Washington late in the summer
whre he had employment. The preacher's words, the flowers and the crowds
attending th service all spoke of a life well spent. Although the word of her
death was a great shock, she was never very strong but had born her suffering,
always thinking some day she would find a cure for her asthma which had troubled
her from birth.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in Topeka with burial in the
cemetery there.
