Mrs. C.C. ROWE of Kansas City, with her little four months old babe, came up to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. LEIGAN. They came Saturday evening. The little one appeared unwell, and seemed suddenly to choke up, when the mother took the child in her arms and started for Dr. WORK's office a block away. She was met by the doctor while on the way, only to hear the sad words, "Your baby is dead." The grief stricken young mother took little Donald back to the house where in a short time friends gathered to care for and comfort the bereaved family. Mr. ROWE was telephoned the sad news and came on the evening train. On Tuesday morning Rev. Hammond, delivered a very appropriate funeral sermon, after which the remains of little Donald were taken to Nortonville for interment. Mr. and Mrs. ROWE desire us, through this medium, to express their heartfelt gratitude for! kindly offices shown them by their many friends on account of their sad bereavement. =================================================== Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archive Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the KSGenWeb USGenWeb Archive Project USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
