Sharkey. Services were held Monday in Topeka at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary for Homer D. SHARKEY, 47, of 1142 Chester, long-time Topeka resident who died Saturday at a Topeka hospital. Burial was in Perry. He was born Sept. 23, 1914, at Perry and was an employee of the Victory Sand Co. here for the past 15 years. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors include his widow, Mabel, a son, Richard and a daughter, Carolyn, all of the home; a brother, Gerald D. Sharkey of 849 Chester; and four sisters Mrs. Opal COTTLE of Route 4, Topeka, Mrs. Geneva HUNGER of Lawrence, Mrs. Elaine WHEELER of 738 Poplar, and Mrs. Bonnie BLANTON, of Route 6, Topeka.
