The Valley Falls New Era
Thursday
July 11, 1907

Mrs. S.E. SMITH died at her home here (Grantville) Sunday night of consumption.
She has been ill for almost a year. She was the daughter of Clark HURD of this
place. Mrs. SMITH leaves a husband, Dr. S.E. SMITH and four children, a father,
three sisters, and two brothers to grieve for her. She was a sweet lovable woman
and a sincere believer in Christ, and a devoted wife and mother. A host of
friends will miss her friendly greeting and loving sympathy. May God comfort
this family in their sad bereavement as He alone can comfort they that mourn.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. COOK. Interment in the Grantville
cemetery.
