Mariah Magdalona MOSBAUGH was born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1937. In 1839 she, with her parents, moved to Hamilton county, Ind., where she spent her childhood days. At an early age she united with the Lutheran church and had been a faithful member every since. September 16, 1860, whe was united in marraige to Edward SNYDER. In 1867 they moved to Stevenson county, Ill., lived there three years and in the fall of 1870 they moved to Kansas, and with the exception of two years, lived on the same farm where she spent her last days on earth. Twelve children were born to their union of which six have gone on before while the other six with their aged father are left ot mourn her loss. Mrs. SNYDER has been in poor health for the past three years and for three months she had been confined to her bed. Everything that loving hands and tender could do was done, but the dear Lord had power over all and her dear Savior called her away March 19, 1901. She was a true Christian, a loving wife and a devoted mother. None knew her but to love her. The funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran church by Rev. J.M. Herbst and the body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery while the soul is safe in Heaven. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. =================================================== Contributed for use by the USGenWeb Archive Project (http://www.usgenweb.org) and by the KSGenWeb USGenWeb Archive Project USGENWEB NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by other organization or persons.
