Fatally Injured in Auto Crash Sunday.
Mrs. Arlene THOMPSON, 23, of Topeka, wife of Dr. Clarence Thompson, died Sunday
evening in a hospital at Granite City, Ill., as the result of injuries received
in a motor car accident near Edwardsville, Ill., earlier in the day. Dr.
Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Howard MAGINNESS of St. Louis, occupants of the second
car, were treated for minor injuries at the Granite City hospital.
Dr. Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Thompson of Perry, had recently taken an
examination to practice veterinary medicine in Illinois, and he and Mrs.
Thompson were on their way there to receive the certificate when the accident
occurred. Dr. and Mrs. Thompson were married at Enterprise on June 8, following
their graduation form Kansas State College.
