Mrs. Mary Matilda Thornton.
Mrs. Mary Matilda THORNTON, 89, of McLouth died Thursday at a nursing home in
Winchester.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the McLouth Baptist Church, with burial in
McLouth Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was born Sept. 11, 1872, and was a member of the McLouth Baptist
Church. her husband, Matt Thornton, died in 1939.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur GENSLER, McLouth; two sons, James A.
Thornton, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Virgil F. Thornton, Stockton, Calif.; a
sister, Mrs. Effie TARR, Topeka; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
