The deceased was one of the early settlers of Kansas, and for twenty years has lived among the people the life of a quiet christian gentleman. He was an elder in the Regular Baptist chuch, and had preached the gospel for many years. A good citizen and neighbor is gone from our midst, who leaves a good record behind. His last illness was brief, and his is now beyond the reach of disease and death. ================== Same newspaper: August 10, 1878. The funeral of Elder Terry TRAPP, recently deceaded, will be preached at the school house in district No. 10, on Sunday, August 11, 1878, at 11 o'clock, a.m. by Elder W.C. Garrett.
