The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, April 5, 1879
Cyrus YOUNG, brother to R.C. Young, of this place, died of pneumonia, at the
residence of Claude COPPENGER, last Friday, after a short illness. He had just
commenced teaching school at the Lillie school house and had only taught one
week, when the took sick. He was taken to Mount Pleasant, the home of his
parents, for interment.
