At the home of Almeda ANDRUS on Wednesday evening , June 6th, at 8 o'clock, to the sweet strains of the wedding march, played by Mrs. Hattie LANDON, Mr. Elbert BAER and Miss Almeda ANDRUS, accompanied by Mr. David McDONALD as best man and Miss Lydia McDONALD at the bridesmaid, marched into the parlor. Under the elaborate decorations of pink and white flowers, 'midst a profust circle of clover blossoms they took their stand while Rev. Jesse Landon in a very impressive manner pronounced the solemn ceremony that united in marriage and made one Mr. Elbert BAER of Wilson, Kansas, and Miss Almeda ANDRUS of McLouth, Kansas. After congratulations a three course lunch was served to more than fifty guests, all relatives of the bride except three. The bride and groom were the happy recipients of many useful and valuable presents. We remember of reading, in the old second reader, that in the early days of the settlement of Ohio, that "Bettie killed the bear," but out in Paririe Kansas we will say that Almeda captured the Baer. Mr. and Mrs. Baer will go to Wilson, Kansas, to make their home.
