The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, May 4, 1878
Married.--On the 2d inst., by Rev. Dr. Davidson, pastor of the M.E. church, at
the residence of the bride's father, Rev. J.H. Miles, Mr. John L. HAMILTON and
Miss Belle MILES, all of this place.
The young people started immediately on a trip to Iowa, a journey which we hope
will be pleasant, followed by a safe return and a prosperous life. The wedding,
though quiet and attended only by the relatives of both parties was a very
pleasant affair, we learn, followed by an excellent repast.
