Wedding Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. August LANGE were pleasantly surprised at their home by their
children, relatives and friends on Sunday, June 17th, it being their 41st
wedding anniversary. The crowd met about a mile from their home and went to the
house together and the surprise was certainly complete.
Every one took dinner which was set out on a long table under the shade trees.
After they all partook of the dinner, John FLINNER presented the worthy couple
with a handsome 26 piece silver dinner set which was purchased by their children.
Mr. SAWYER of Tonganoxie had a little fun getting them together, fifty-four in
all, so as to have their pictures taken, after which the family group was taken,
all being present but one. The afternoon was well enjoyed by every one, while M.
KISSINGER was entertaining them with his talkaphone, after which ice cream was
served.
Those present were:--Mr. and Mrs. August LANGE, Mr. and Mrs. John FLINNER, Mr.
and Mrs. John LANGE and family, Mr. and Mrs. John KLEM and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Andy LANGE and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank LANGE and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
LANGE and family, Mr. and Mrs. Florenz SCHELLER and family, Mr. and Mrs. Harry
KISSINGER, Mr. and Mrs. Mike KISSINGER, MR. and Mrs. John COLEMAN and son, Mrs.
Lizzie WILLITS, Mrs. Louis SOMER and daughter, Mrs. STOUT and daughters, Bertha
and Stella, Mr. KIMMERMAN, Alfred LANGE, Mr. SAWYER, Mrs. BUCHANAN and daughter,
Esther, Daniel LANGE, George LANGE and Harry LANGE.
