The Oskaloosa Independent, Jefferson County, Saturday, October 16, 1875

Married. On the 7th inst., at the residence of W.H. Ralston, Esq., corner Sixth
and Osage streets, Leavenworth, Mr. H.L. CLARK and Miss Josie RALSTON were
united in marriage, Rev. Dr. Phillips officiating. The wedding was a quiet but
very pleasant occasion. The bride and bridegroom were well suited, and made a
most becoming appearance, both in dress and bearing, passing thro' the
impressive ceremony with graceful ease and self possession. One of Leavenworth's
most estimable ladies, Miss Josie's husband is worthy of such a companion. We
send with them thro' life our earnest wishes for the happiness and prosperity,
hoping that their future days may be as cheerful and pass off as delightfully as
died their wedding day, and their pathway be ever thronged with as smiling and
true friends as greeted them at the threshold of their united lives.
