The Oskaloosa Independent,Jefferson County,Saturday, April 10, 1880
Married.--On Saturday, April 3, 1880, at the residence of Moses Acres, Lawrence,
Kansas, by Rev. James Marvin, D.D. Chancellor of Kansas State University, Mr.
J.H. QUEEN, of Perry, Ks., and Miss Alice THOMPSON of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.

The occasion we learn was a very pleasant one to the twenty guests present. Mrs.
Acres did the hostess to admiration, and the hours glided by delightfully. We
congratulate Mr. Queen on his bride, who go to house keeping at once in Perry.
May their lives be prosperous and happy.
