Mr. and Mrs. James THORNTON celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday of last week. Only their children living in this part of the country were present, the absent children sent remembrances in the shape of gold pieces. Several gold coins were presented to Mr. and Mrs. Thornton. They came to Kansas in 1868, and moved to McLouth 7 or 8 years ago. Mr. Thornton is a native of Kentucky and Mrs. Thornton was born in North Carolina. They are among our most highly respected citizens and we congratulate them on being able to celebrate their golden wedding with the hope that many more years of happiness yet await them. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/jefferson/vitals/marriages/thornton430gmr.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
