Sunday evening Jan. 10th, at the bride's home in McLouth, Thomas GILBERT and
Miss Addie WERST were united in marriage, Rev. G.D. KUNS officiating. The
wedding was a great surprise to many of the friends of both Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert
but congratulations and best wishes are no less sincerely given on that account. 
The bride and her mother Mrs. Mary Werst bought property and moved to McLouth
from Ozawkie over a year ago. Those who know her best speak of her in the
highest terms. Mr. Gilbert is one of the finest old gentlemen that it has ever
been our pleasure to meet. He is honorable and square, with a kindly disposition
and a big heart. He has lived in this community for many years and is a man who
has many friends and no enemies. Their home will be in McLouth.
We hope that the disappointments and sorrows of the past may be only a sweek
sorrow and that time holds for this couple many years of contentment.
