Death came suddenly. She had been in poor health for some time and was in the hospital here the first part of the month. Funeral services were held at the Livingston Chapel Tuesday, conducted by Rev. F.L. Pettit of the Christian Church. Burial was in the Hoosier cemetery by the side of her husband, who died in 1904. Mrs. Dorner was born in Germany April 29, 1861; died February 27, 1938, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 28 days. She came to the United States when she was 18 years of age and was married to Mr. Dorner at Bushton January 29, 1883. In 1900 they came to Kingman county and lived on a farm in Hoosier township until Mr. Dorner's death. Since that time Mrs. Dorner had made her home most of the time with her son John. The high esteem in which Mrs. Dorner and the remaining members of her family are held was indicated by the large number of old friends and neighbors who attended the services Tuesday. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Mary Barkley of Denver, Colo., and three sons: W.J. of Garden City, George of Buffalo, Okla., and John of Hoosier township. All the children were present at the funeral. There are also eleven grandchildren.
