Dorner received a message that his brother Nicolas Dorner of Hoosier township had been found dead in his field. Mr. Dorner at once went out to the farm and there learned that his brother and Mitchel Layman had been at work together, staking off ground for a line of fence and that while Mr. Dorner was some rods distance from Mr. Layman, he made some sort of an exclamation and fell to the ground. Mr. Layman rushed to his assistant but by the time he reached him he was already dead; presumably the result of heart disease. The Coroner was notified and on being told of the circumstances of the case decided no inquest was necessary, death having resulted from natural causes. The deceased was aged about 52 years and had been a resident of the county about 5 years and he was a first-class citizen. He leaves a wife and four children besides numerous other relatives in this county. His funeral will occur this afternoon at Otterbein church and interment will be made in Hoosier cemetery.
