MARTIN, Roscoe Published in the Kiowa County Signal,Wednesday, May 15, 1968, Greensburg, Kiowa County, Kansas. Submitted by Carrie Hall. Funeral Services were held Sunday, May 12, for Roscoe C. Martin, 79, who died Friday morning at the Kiowa County Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. Mr. Martin was born April 1, 1889, at Eldon, Mo. He married Lucy Mae Crosby August 24, 1910, at Fort Smith, Ark. They moved to Dallas, Tex., and then moved to Greensburg in March of last year. Mr. Martin was a retired carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Greensburg. Survivors include the widow: sons, William, Bremerton, Wash.; Maxwell, San Gabriel, Calif.; Ray, Greensburg; step-son Paul Hott, Denver, Colo.; daughters, Mrs. Margaret Klimek, Scott City; Mrs. Mildred Doll, Little River; Mrs. Gertrude Cox, Denver, Colo.; 34 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Services were at 2:30 p.m. at the church with Rev. G. Melvin Walker officiating.
