Files may be printed or copied for personal use only. EDITH GORE HARP daughter of J. W. and Jane Harp was born at Red Rock, Iowa 15 Apr 1857; died at Greensburg, Kans. 30 Apr 1920. Married at Oatley, Iowa, 28 Jan 1878 to A. W. Reed. To this union were born R. C. Reed, living at Elkhart, KS; Edith M. Reed Murphy, at Kingman, KS, Don P. Reed, Greensburg, Alfred Conn Reed, Elkhart, KS. Her husband and four children survive her. She was converted at the age of 20 and joined the Presbyterian church at Knoxville, Iowa. The family came to Burrton, KS in 1883 and to Mullinville in 1884 where they went into the United Brethern church as charter members. They moved to Greensburg in 1890 and affiliated with the U. B. church till its disorganization when they joined the M. E. church fo which she was a member till her death. She had been a sufferer for six years, undergoing two serious operations. xxx. The funeral service was held from the home at 3 o'clock yesterday, conducted by Rev. Whitwam, pastor of the Methodist church. Among the relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mrs. B. A. Sidener, Mrs. J. A. Shearer, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Harp and family, J. W and family of Mullinville, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Bidwell and daughters Myra and Avis and son Geo. of Kinsley.
