Died 1 July 1947 at son's home in Denver. Linnie, Sunday, Christmas Day 1892, married Elmer C Clark (1863IN-1941KS) , born Saturday, 16 May 1863 on a farm in southeast Crawford County, Indiana, near Leavenworth, later, for many ears, a judge in Sixteenth judical district of Kansas (Parsons & Oswego). Their only son, Elmer C Clark, Jr., was born November 1893, attending University of Kansas in 1911. Elmer Jr. was "Best Man" for Dr Guy H Hopkins, 8 September 1920 in Colorado Springs at marriage of John A Flora's oldest granddaughter, Harriette Pearl FLORA (my mother's sister), daughter of William W FLORA. I don't know the connection, likely a college friend to Guy Hopkins of Grand Junction, Colorado, born 1894, Alton, Illinois, graduated from Colorado College, then attending Washington University Medical School in Saint Louis. Hopkins' daughter (11/22/05) is unaware of father's best man. Linnie was included in the 1939 will of her step sister Hattie A's husband, Carl Raymond Gray, revealing a lifetime relationship since 1878, Linnie C lived at 24 Michigan Street, near to and looked after step-father John, at 10 Michigan Street following her mother's Januaru 1913 death until his November 1934 death. Her husband, Judge Clark, passed away in 1941, and she in 1947 at her son's Denver home both are buried at Oswego cemetery, located northwest of town. Obituary: Oswego Independent, 4 July 1947.
