He was in his 79th year of age. Mr. McMichael was a native of Pennsylvania where he grew to manhood. In 1853 he was married to Miss Margarett Ewing. To this union seven children were born, four of whom and his widow remain to mourn his death. In 1886 Mr. McMichael came with his family to Lincoln county and lived on a farm six miles northwest of Lincoln. Six years ago he sold his farm and went to Ness County further west in the state. Last fall he returned to live the remainder of his years with his son, Alvin. Mr. McMichael was a consistent and lifelong member of the Presbyterian church. His funeral took place from the residence of his son, Alvin, Sabbath afternoon, conducted by the Rev. H.A. Stinson, pastor of the Presbyterian church of which he was a member. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The funeral procession was very large which bore evidence of the high esteem in which the life of the departed was held by his neighbors and friends.
