John Messenger Fatally Cuts Sidney Stoffer With a Razor. Special to The Item. Prescott, Kans., Jan'y 2.--John MESSENGER, while intoxicated and attending a dance at this place last night, quarreled with Sidney STOFFER and cut him with a razor, almost severing the cartoid artery. Stoffer is one of the leading young man of Fulton and will probably die. Messenger went to the livery barn, broke the lock, took his team and started for the Missouri line. Sheriff MAYFIELD and two deputies started immediately after him and expect soon to have him in lingo.
