The Border Sentinel, Linn County, Friday, May 5, 1871 May 5, 1871
Drowned.--Friday, April 28th, Mr. George H. McLEAN, while sitting on the bank of
a creek known as Irish Branch in Blue Mound township and was seized with
epilepsy, fell in the creek and was drowned. Mr. Henry PALMER and brother found
the body while fishing, their hooks catching in the clothing of the deceased.
