The Item, Linn County, Friday, August 28, 1896 August 28, 1896
This morning at about half-past nine o'clock a livery team from Bulter got
scared at the train and started from near the depot crossed the sidwalk on Main
street and run north, striking the buggy of Green SERIGHT's tearing it up
considerable. The other buggy fared considerably better, and the greatest damage
was done to the wheels and pole. Mr. Seright's damage was estimated at about
twenty dollars. No one was hurt.
