A few days since we received to us the sad intelligence of the death of Mrs.
Fannie E. BAKER, of Madison, Wis., aged about twenty-three years, the esteemed
wife of an old shopmate. We knew her well. Young, joyous, possessed of unusual
vivacity and energy, she had just entered the morning of life, when after an
illness of but two days duration, she was thus suddenly called to the better
land. To those she left behind we offer our heartfelt sympathy in this the
deepest hour of sorrow and trial.
