The Border Sentinel,Linn County,Friday,September 21, 1902
Grandpa James BLANGY breathed his last, on Saturday, 13th, at his home, on 6th
street, this city, surrounded by his beloved life companion and other relatives
and friends. His age was 81 years. A good old man has gone to his final rest.
Funeral services were held at the M.E. church, on Sunday, at 1:30, Rev. C.R.
Rice, conducting the services. The remains were conveyed to Bates county, Mo.,
and interred in Independence cemetery, near Foster.
