GOUIN, about three miles east of La Cygne. He went into the well to do some work, against the wishes of Mr. Gouin, who feared it would not answer for him to enter it. Mr. Blystone, however, thought he could get along all right, btu had been in the well only about five minutes before he was overcome with foul, damp air, and had hardly called Mr. Gouin that "It loos as though I was gone," or some similar expression, before he was dead. Dr. W.B. CLINE was summoned to see the poor man, but of course he was beyond all earthly help. The deceased was about 40 years old, unmarried, of good character and possessing many friends. He leaves a sistr, the wife of David GOSS, of Potosi township.
