The Journal regrets to record the death of Mrs. J.R. CAMPBELL, which occured in
Scott township, Wednesday, after a long illness. The deceased was formerly Miss
Minnie JOHNSTON, and was well known in La Cygne, where she spent several years
of her life. At the time of her death she was about 19 years old. She was an
excellent young lady and leaves many friends to mourn her loss. The funeral
occurred on Thursday, the burial taking place in the cemetery adjoining the city.
