J.W. Eglehoff of the Mound City Mills, Shoots Himself. Last Saturday evening about 5 o'clock, J.W. EGLEHOFF, owner of the Mound City Roller Mills, committed suicide at his home in Mound City by shooting himself in the mouth with a 32-calibre revolver. He was dressed lying on the bed in his room. He had not been feeling well for a couple of days and his wife had just left the room to prepare something for him when she was startled by the report of a gun. It is said that there is only one cause to which the terrible act could be traced--his business life, and it is supposed to be in fairly good condition. The deceased was a Texan but moved to Mound City from Missouri. All who knew him spoke quite highly of him in many ways. He leaves a wife and a son about 20 years old. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/linn/obits/e/eglehoff319ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
