November 19, 1881

I.M. ELLINGTON, of Centerville township, committed suicide by cutting his throat
with a hay knife on last Saturday morning. Mental depression, caused by failing
health, is supposed to have been the cause. He was an old settler of Linn county
and well respected by his neighbors and friends.
