The Item, Linn County, Friday, March 27, 1896

Word was received on Thursday morning that Mrs. Thos. GOSS had died in La Cygne
Wednesday night. The remains were brought down on the 1:17 train and taken to
the Christian church where the funeral was preached by Rev. D.Jarnett, and the
remains were interred in our cemetery. Mrs. Goss had started for Leavenworth for
a visit when she was taken sick and stopped at La Cygne.
