John GROSSE, a boy who was raised in Pleasanton died at his home in that town last week. He was a member of a family of six children and was very poor. The family seemed to be one of a affliction, as each child upon reaching a certain age sickened and died. John was an energetic young man and one winter he worked at the printer's trade, was night porter at the hotel and did janitor work at four professional men's offices during the entire winter. His earnings buried his brothers and sisters and when it came his time to die a collection was necessary to defray his funeral expenses. Such is life. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/linn/obits/g/grosse1099gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.3 Kb
