Died, at her home four miles southeast of LaCygne, March 14, 1900, Mrs. Martha GUNNELS. Martha was born at Tamaroy, Illinois, March 27th, 1847. Came to Kansas in 1858 and was married March 19th, 1865 to Green Gunnels and has remained a faithful wife until death. She was a member of the church of the living God and a pillar on the ground of truth, through her sickness she was full of love and joy of the Holy Ghost and her last words were: "I extend love to all." She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn the loss, five girls and three boys. The funeral was preached at the house by Rev. Depew and the remains were laid to rest in the East Mound Zion cemetery. Their loss is Heaven's gain for it was said that she was a Christian and a God fearing woman which is the best that can be said of any of us. The family has the sympathy of the entire community in their loss. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/linn/obits/g/gunnels338ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
