At her home in Mound City, on the 3d day of October, 1871, at 12 1/2 o'clock, a.m., Mrs. Alice IVES, wife of Sanford L. Ives, aged 33 years, 9 months and 20 days. Mrs. Ives was of English birth; was born in Bedford, Lancashire, England, Jan. 13, 1837. It is with regret that we announce this most estimable lady's death. Her constant aim in life was to do good. She was strongly devoted to her family and friends, and nothing pleased her more than to lend a helping hand to those in need. She leaves behind an affectionate husband to mourn his loss; also three little boys, who will sadly feel the want of a kind mother's care. They have our heartfelt sympathy in their deep bereavement. Mrs. Ives was a member of the Order of Rebekahs, at this place, and the funeral obsequies were performed by them.
