The Item, Linn County, Friday, May 22, 1896
Andrew JACKSON, who lives on the old Carpenter place, died Wednesday night at
about 9:10, after several days of illness. Mr. Jackson was about 50 years of
age, and leaves a family of five girls to mourn his loss; their mother having
gone before. The remains were sent to Shawnee, a little town near Kansas City,
where they will be laid beside his wife.
