Edith McWILLIAMS, aged three years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. McWILLIAMS,
died on Friday morning of last week after a short illness. She was attended by
Drs. J.R. Divelbiss, S.B. Divelbiss, and J.M. Welch, but her disease baffled
medical skill and the parents are called to mourn the untimely death of their
only child. Mr. McWilliams was at Canon City, Colo., when she died, and was
summoned here by telegraph, arriving in La Cygne on Sunday evening. The funeral
took place on the following day, being conducted by Rev. J.M. Baugher, pastor of
the Methodist church.
