Wm. Henry MILLER was born in Perry county, Ohio, October 25, 1858, died at his home in Prescott, Kans., August 10, 1896, aged 37 years, 9 months and 15 days. In November 1859, his parents came to Kansas, and settled in Linn county, where he has since resided. He was married to Lina M. HILL, March 2, 1879, she with six children remain to sadly mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. For two years he engaged in the mercantile business in Mapleton, Ks., where he has a large number of loyal friends who are united with his large acquaintance here to sadly mourn his departure so early in life. He belonged to the I.O.O.F. and M.W.A. lodges, and by his death his orders have lost a worthy member. He will be missed from his accumstomed place in business, but such is life. Mr. Miller was confied to his bed on July 3, after which he never arose. He was first taken with the malarial fever, and soon after was seized with typhoid, which resulted in his death. Funeral services were held at M.E. church at 2:30 o'clock Tuesdsay, August 11. Rev. Taylor conducted the services, after which the M.W.A. and the I.O.O.F. lodges took charge of the remains of their brother to whom they paid their last tribute of respect. To the bereaved family and relatives, the people of this vicinity extend their deepes sympathy in this sad berevement.
