Mr. David ORENDORF died of pneumonia, Tuesday morning, at his residence some
seven miles north of La Cygne. He was 64 years old last January. He had lived on
the farm where he passed the last moments of his life, for a number of years,
and had made his home surroundings pleasant and attractive. He leaves a family
and numerous friends to mourn his loss. Mr. Orendorf was one of the stockholders
of the La Cygne Exchange Bank in this city, and for a long time had been
accustomed to transact business here. He was consequently well known in this
city, and being held in high esteem here the announcement of his death was
received with sincere regret. He was buried Thursday at New Lancaster, Miami
county, the funeral being an unusually large one.
