March 26, 1881

Mr. and Mrs. V.P. ROBERTS, formerly of La Cygne, had the misfortune to lose
their baby, Lillie, aged about seven months, by death at Kansas City, Mo., on
Friday evening of last week. The remains of the child were brought to La Cygne,
Saturday, accompanied by the parents and Mr. J.W. Roberts, and buried on Sunday
at the cemetery in Scott township, six and one-half miles southwest of La Cygne.
