Robert was born February 6th 1868, at Walnut Hill, Ill., and died November 7, 1906, at Osawatomie, Kansas, aged 38 years, 9 months and 1 day. He was married to Rosa MYER, Oct. 10, 1893. to their union four children were born, two boys and two girls. Robert was an honorable and good citizen and had many friends. Bob as we called him, was always ready to speak a good word to every one. He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife and four children, father, mother and his brothers and sisters, namely, Murray Smith, Samuel Smith, Mrs. Lizzie HAMILTON, Mrs. Ollie FOGLE, Mrs. Kate DEXTER, and Miss Mamie Smith. May the Lord comfort the bereaved relatives and may Gods choicest blessing rest upon his loving wife and those fatherless children. The funeral was preached at the residence of his father by Rev. Pentz, to a large and sympathizing congregation. The casket contained the body was decorated with flowers and buried in the Centeville Cemetery.
