Mattie M. Trigg.
Mattie M. TRIGG was born in Negoa, Illinois, March 14, 1873, and died in
LaCygne, Kansas, May 23, 1899. She had resided in Kansas the greater portion of
her life and had a large circle of friends in this vicinity.
The deceased was a very strong young lady until about nine weeks ago when she
was stricken with a spinal trouble and since that time she has known nothing
only constant suffering. She was a member of the Christian church of this place
and her life was one of which any young lady might be proud.
Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. R.A. Trigg on Thursday morning at
11 o'clock by Rev. J.E. WHITEHEAD of the Methodist church, and interment took
place in the Oak Lawn cemetery. The services were largely attended by friends of
the deceased and many were the floral tributes bestowed. To the mother and
sister who are now in sorrow our entire people offer their most sincere sympathy.
