WADE, of near Boicourt took its flight to that better land. Death came sudden as it was caused from a paralytic stroke. Geo. Wade was born Nov. 26, 1834 in West Virginia. In 1861 he enlisted in the Union army and served three years, afterward re-enlisting and serving until 1865 when he was discharged. On Feb. 10, 1867 he married Miss Maria E. WADE, of Millsboro, Tyler county, West Va., and eight children were born to them. In 1883 he moved his family to Linn county where they have since resided. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church, having united with it in 1880 since which time he had been a very devout Christian. On Tuesday, Rev. C.J. PLUMB preached the funeral sermon over the remains at his late residence northwest of Boicourt and the remains were interred in the cemetery three miles northwest of Boicourt. In the death of Geo. Wade the community in which he lived lost a good man, and he will be missed in every public enterprise for the general welfare of the people.
