Williams, in Valley township, this county, accidentally shot and killed himself on Sunday last. Wew was riding in a sleigh, with his son, having a gun along. The sad affair occurred in this way: he had shot a rabbit, which his boy went after, and during the latters' absence the father proceeded to load the empty barrel of the double-barreled shot gun. In doing this, while his attention was away from the weapon, he moved it so that the loaded barrel was discharged, the shot taking affect in his side with the fatal result above alluded to. Mr. Walters had not been a resident of Vally but a few months. His remains were brought to La Cygne Tuesday, and sent from here to Illionis, his former home, for interment. ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/linn/obits/w/walters1266ob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
