Wasson Dead. George R. WASSON died at his home six miles southwest of Mound City at 9 o'clock August 3rd. He has been lying in a critical condition for several weeks and the attending physician announced some time ago that there was little if any hope for his recovery.. He had an affection of the lungs and last year went to Colorado to see if the climate there would not benefit him, but he grew worse instead of better and was compelled to return home. Geo. Wasson has lived most of his life in Linn county and was one of its most prominent citizens. For a number of years he was a successful teacher, afterwards engaging in farming. Six years ago he was a prominent candidate for the Republican nomination for county superintendent.--Republic ==== KS-FOOTSTEPS Mailing List ==== File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ks/linn/obits/w/wasson1057gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ksfiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
